Happy 75th Anniversary, India!

Three colours make up the present Indian flag.

The saffron stripe represents bravery and selflessness, the central white stripe represents purity and serenity, and the green stripe symbolizes fertility and faith.

To promote democracy in India, British human rights activist and early freedom fighter Annie Besant helped found the Home Rule League in 1916, which helped pave the way for the independence struggle.

The Bombay Swadeshi Co-op Stores were established in 1906 by Lokmanha Bal Gangadhar Tilak to aid in the boycott of foreign products inside of India.

The Bombay Store is the name of the store now. As they say, the rest is history for the Bombay Store.
